Film photography, has become my Zen. In the midst of my journalism classes, I decided I might become a better photojournalist if I studied the “photo” part a little deeper. I enrolled in a beginner’s black and white film class, and it grabbed me and won’t let go. The fact that every aspect of the process, from the fully-manual, vintage cameras I shoot with, through the actual printing in the dark room, is completely done by my hands  that resonates with me. Here are a few shots from that first class.
